Our ultra-soft, pure cashmere shawls from Ladakh are an ode to the craftsmanship of the Himalayas. Many techniques in one piece, more than 6 artisans participate in the making of this shawl.

Pashma comes from goats herded by the nomads of Ladakh, on the Chantang plateau . Their hair is then spun by skilled Kashmiri women, who traditionally do this work at home. The threads are then dyed and sent to another artisan who specializes in weaving this ultra-fine pashma on a handloom. Once the embroidery design is ready, it is stamped by a professional who only makes ` naqash` , walnut blocks with intricate designs, carved by hand and who mark the designs to be embroidered with a washable ash paste. And finally, the Karighars, who are experts in Sozny embroidery, spend many weeks or months embroidering with silk thread and a very fine needle. The result is a true work of art.
