Maestria Artesanal

Our shawls are made in the region of Kashmir , a paradise in the Himalayas, the birthplace of countless artisanal techniques that combine centuries of tradition in weaving and hand embroidery. Its capital Srinagar was founded in 250BC, but it was during the Persian invasions that numerous high-quality artisanal techniques were introduced to the region, and there they have flourished to this day. Its proximity to Tibet in the Ladakh region also brought the presence of nomads who herd the famous Changra goats, whose fur called Pashma gives rise to the region's famous shawls.

PASHMA TOUCH seeks, through its products, to pay homage to the nomadic shepherds and artisans of this region of incomparable history. Kashmir, inhabited by diverse ethnic groups, was also part of the ancient Silk Road, making it a place of rich cultural and artistic heritage.
